The Final Gift Harry's Trick After the confrontation in the Chamber, Lucius Malfoy arrives at Hogwarts. Harry tricks him into giving Dobby a sock—a piece of clothing. According to house-elf law, this frees Dobby from servitude. Dobby's Joy Dobby is overjoyed and declares himself a free elf. He uses his magic to fling Lucius Malfoy down the stairs.
